This was taken on September 4, 2004 on my wedding day with my family's beloved dog of 16 years.

It is the farewell to my beloved dog of 16 years. She is going to be put down to sleep today as I am writing here because she has been suffering of arthitis for a couple years. Lately, it has been getting worse and worse, she couldn't control her bowel movements. We discussed and decided it's time to let her go. She has been with us for 16 years and was my beloved mom's dog. So it was extremely hard on my family to let her go because she was the link to my mom. She is an expectional dog.

I took it very hard but I know it's better for her since she wasn't happy for a while now. She has been part of most of our family's lives. I just wished I could see her before she passes away.

It's always a hard pill to swallow when someone in the family, especially a pet, dies. They are always a wonderful part of the family. 16 years is a long time!! Count the dog years and wow!

Allow me to introduce myself. I used to live in Kansas (Manhattan) the home of Kansas State University. And we live in Leesburg, Virginia.
